Sam Henley

Sam joined Simplicity Loans & Advisory in July 2024 bringing with him a wealth of experience in the commercial finance sector, underpinned by a diverse 16 year career in multiple roles at four major companies (GE Capital, Wells Fargo Bank, Bank of Melbourne and Fifo Capital).

A strong foundation of Credit skills and deal underwriting was built through Risk Analyst roles at American conglomerates GE Capital and Wells Fargo, before Sam moved into front line Sales positions including as Business Banker and Business Development Manager with Bank of Melbourne’s SME Division in 2020. Transitioning into a Business Banker role during this period posed a wide range of challenges, from navigating the SME industry amidst COVID-19’s impacts to also trying to meet sales targets working primarily from home. Despite this Sam excelled.

In 2022 Sam joined Fifo Capital as Senior Business Development Manager, broadening his product range from typical Bank Lending facilities to specialising in Working Capital and Invoice Finance solutions. This diverse experience has made him a well-rounded and skilled professional with a unique perspective on client relationships.

Sam is committed to engaging with his clients beyond simply providing a solution to their financial goals and objectives. His diverse background across all major business functions, his personal values, and extensive experience reinforce his belief that honesty, clear communication, and responsiveness are essential for achieving lasting financial success and fostering enduring client relationships that last a lifetime.

Outside of work, Sam finds immense happiness in his family. He resides in the beautiful beachside suburb of Aspendale, Victoria, with his partner, Nicola, and stepchildren Stevie, Shay, and Scout. Their household is completed by Solo, their energetic black-and-white staffy. Despite being a long-suffering St Kilda fan, his love for the Melbourne Storm more than compensates for it.
