Mortgage Professional Australia (MPA) has revealed the winners of this year’s Top Commercial Brokers special report. The special report recognises the outstanding achievements of high-performing and ambitious professionals in the Australian mortgage broking industry, more than half of whom are relative newcomers to the industry with five years or less of experience.

Commenting on this year’s winners, Cory Bannister, chief lending officer at La Trobe Financial, said the prestigious list recognises the highest-performing mortgage brokers in Australia and highlights their contributions to the industry and their communities.

Finding the best commercial mortgage brokers in Australia MPA identified Australia’s top commercial mortgage brokers for 2023 by inviting brokers from across the country to submit their figures from the past year, including details such as:
- the total value of commercial loans settled;
- the number of commercial loans settled; and
- the proportion of loans in commercial real estate, equipment and asset finance, SME lending, debtor finance, unsecured business lending, and development finance.
Brokers also supplied information such as the number of support staff on their team, their number of years as a commercial broker, and their aggregator details. The MPA team then asked the aggregators to verify the details submitted.
Australia’s top commercial mortgage brokers for 2023 The final ranking of the top 30 brokers was based on the total value of commercial loans they wrote for 12 months. Of the 30 winners this year, 80% did not appear on MPA’s 2022 list of winners.
